Sizzling in the Summertime

Sayulita, Mexico

I figured before the summer was over I ought to post a few pictures from my vacation to Mexico. Despite my busy schedule I was able to fly away for a little bit to the beautiful remote town of Sayulita, which is north of Puerta Vallarta.

I am home now and back to the grind, but here are a couple of shots from my trip, courtesy of the talented William Files...

“I don't take me seriously. If we get some giggles, I don't mind.”
- Paul McCartney

(Clearing up some technical difficulties today. Sorry about that! I think we're back in business.)

The above picture was taken of me from the light-booth at Paul McCartney's performance at Coachella. I had an amazing time listening to fantastic bands. From listening to Leonard Cohen in the grass, Morrissey out with the crowd, and My Bloody Valentine backstage, it all culminated with watching the Cure ONstage next to the guitar tech. What a performance!

After my crazy weekend I rested up and managed to make it out to see Depeche Mode close down Hollywood Blvd. Now I am working on a script and hanging with Clementine. Reading for a new movie tomorrow and then a couple of engagements tomorrow night. I will be updating my twitter and posting pictures... Until then, I have work to do!

#5 Alive

"Don't ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive." ~ Harold Whitman

Friday afternoon. Still working on new material and shooting tomorrow, which I'm sort of looking forward to and and sort of nervous about. The simpler the material the harder it is for me, and tomorrow's scene is a lot of listening and reacting. We'll see how it goes...

I'm very much looking forward to the release of my friends' newest movie, Observe and Report. The trailers look funny and I have heard its fantastic and ridiculous. Lotsa laughs! Sunday we will be celebrating with a little barbecue and I'll probably have pictures to post.

Follow my twitter for funny updates from the party and the shoot! Happy Friday! ;)

I've been trying to survive allergy season and this cold I've developed. I think I'm on the upswing now, but this week has been full of kleenex. You know, the kind with the lotion :)

I did venture out of my pj's today to see Brett Gelman's taping of "1000 Cats." HBO was producing the shoot and it should be up on Funny Or Die soon. I will post the link when it appears.

Now I am reading some Hart Crane (brilliant poet from the early 20th century) and watching Roman Holiday in the background. I think it would be a cool movie to remake, only maybe Knotting Hill was kind of the same story now that I think of it.

My dog Clementine is stir crazy tonight. I haven't been as playful since I caught this cold. Maybe I should go now and play with her a bit before bed. Night all...

A Little Joy

"Something changes when she glances, enough to teach you what romance is..."

I am listening to Little Joy and that quote is from my new favorite song, "Don't Watch Me Dancing." I highly recommend the album :)

I was pleased to hear that the ratings from last weekend for Eastbound and Down were at record highs! If you haven't seen the show, you must. Hurry up! The finale is fast approaching. For those who don't know, the show's creators, Danny McBride, Jody Hill, and Ben Best all went to school with me, and they are a talented bunch!

I also encourage everyone to check out Knowing which opens Friday. Its my Friend Steve's movie, and he is really excited about it. Considering he's an Academy Award winning producer, he knows of what he speaks.

As for me, I'll be twittering my updates...I have no idea what the night holds!

O Ireland isn't it grand you look--
Like a bride in her rich adornin?
And with all the pent-up love of my heart
I bid you the top o' the mornin!

-John Locke "The Exile's Return"

Happy Irish day! I am adorned in my kelly green like all good girls and i type this while eating leftover sushi from lunch yesterday. Leftovers are kind of declasse but that spicy tuna with caviar was just TOO good.

As my website reflects I have just joined twitter. Follow me at http://twitter.com/Taylor_Roberts. I also highly recommend following Christopher Walken and Russell Brand, I have found them to be quite entertaining myself.

Thats all for now but I'm sure something juicy will come of the holiday festivities... on st pattys day, everyone loves a redhead. ;)
